Permanent, Part-Time Tax Accountant

WA’s largest member organisation is looking for a Tax Accountant on a Permanent, Part-time basis!

Your new role

Reporting to the Group Tax Manager, you will assist with managing tax compliance and other tax functions across the organisation, including but not limited to:

• Preparation and lodgement of income tax returns, FBT returns, BAS and PAYG Statements.
• Assist with managing statutory reporting obligations and preparing statutory tax effect accounting and reporting.
• Assist with the provision of tax advice and ad hoc project work and research projects.
• Assisting with maintaining the group's accounting and tax asset registers.
• Completing monthly reconciliation of tax accounts.
• Monitoring changes in accounting standards, procedures and practices to identify the impact on the organisation and ensure compliance.
• Maintain contemporaneous tax knowledge across new legislation.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be successful, you will meet the following requirements:

• Tertiary qualifications in Commerce/Business are mandatory.
• Demonstrated corporate tax experience (2+ years’ experience) is compulsory.
• Completed or working towards CA or CPA is desirable.
• Demonstrated experience in the use of accounting systems is desirable and the ability to quickly learn new systems and implement accounting system improvements.
• Demonstrated experience in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word for Windows, Power Query and Power BI.

• Salary up to $90,000 annually plus superannuation (prorated to 3 days per week).
