Boiler Assistant at
Invicta Mill in the Burdekin Region.
Invicta Mill is located approximately 40 minutes south of Townsville.This position involves continuous shift work, weekend work and some overtime in the Crushing Season (June - Dec). During the Maintenance Season (Jan - May) it is a day work position with RDO's most Friday's.Additional benefits for working with Wilmar Sugar

Main duties include but are not limited to:
- Demonstrate knowledge of general quality control standards / procedures and is responsible for the quality of their own work
- Carry out directions of and work in conjunction with the Boiler Operator and Operations Coordinator
- Starts and stops turbines and auxiliary equipment as required
- Manage the bagasse, ash and feedwater systems
- Analyse Boiler water chemistry and alter chemical dosing as required
- Take readings of boiler instruments as required
- Carry out maintenance tasks and other directions within the responsibility area as required
- Ensure permits to work, risk assessments and job safety analysis are conducted for all work undertaken
Essential Criteria:- High Risk Work Licence for Turbine Operator (TO)
- Confined Space
- Working at Heights
- Candidate must be willing to complete training to gain these qualifications.
Applicants with the following attributes will be highly regarded:
- High Risk Work Licence for Advanced Boiler Operator (BA)
- Process control experience
- Steam Plant operating experience
- Additional year-round skills - Trade Qualification / Common User Competencies etc.
