Our flagship Century project in Queensland stands as Australia's largest tailings remining and processing operation.
A rewarding opportunity currently exists for a Processing Plant Operator (Entry Level) to join our Sibanye Stillwater Australia team based on site at the Century Mine (Lawn Hill). This position will be offered as a permanent role on a FIFO basis - 15 days on /13 days off roster.

This role will be responsible for:
- Operate the processing plant facility (milling, flotation, thickening, reagents, pipeline), and ancillary equipment, to meet production requirements safely and efficiently in an environmentally sound manner.
Key Accountabilities shall include:
The key accountabilities of this role will be developed according to the business needs of the company, and to achieve their effective delivery certain skills will be required:
- Adherance to safety regulations and compliance with Century operation policies and procedures.
- Ensure safety of all personnel working in the facility and associated areas
- Identify, report and rectify all hazards
- Productively participate as a member of the team to jointly achieve agreed targets and goals
- Working effectively and collaboratively with immediate colleagues and others in cross-functional relationships, on tasks within the context of New Century Resources vision to be a safe and efficient processing operation
- Ensure the Department operates in a manner which maintains and enhances Century Operations’ reputation with all stakeholders
Applicants shall possess the following technical, interpersonal skills, knowledge, and qualifications:
Technical:
- Familiar with base metals Processing Plants
- Grinding and classification (preferred)
- Reagents handling (preferred)
- Trouble shooting / problem solving / decision making
People:
- Team player with the ability to maintain internal and external relationships
- Able to work in a diverse workforce
- Highly motivated
Knowledge:
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal at various levels
- Adaptable to change
- Conflict resolution
Experience:
- Minimum 6 months proven operating experience in a minerals processing plant
- Basic computer skills
- Experience in FIFO operations preferred (not required)
Education, Qualifications, Tickets, Licences:
- Valid ‘C’ Class drivers’ licence
- High risk forklift ticket
