About Me Hello! I am a 23 year old man with Global Development Delay. I am looking for a friendly Support Worker to assist me in achieving my NDIS goals. I would like a Support Worker who likes gaming, particularly DC & Marvel! I love pets and have cats. I would like to engage in community activities and learn daily living activities.
The RoleAn Opportunity is available to join my team of wonderful Support Workers who help to facilitate my daily life. My Support Workers assist me on a 1 to 1 basis throughout the day.
Due to some of the challenges I face, I can show signs of escalation. In this instance I would like you to support me with redirection techniques and engage with me. When staff are engaged my escalations reduce.
I am seeking a Support Worker who is wanting to join a team environment. Someone who is passionate about supporting me with community participation, skill building activities around cooking and cleaning. I would like to attend more social activities as this is something that I love to do. I am seeking a youthful Support Worker who shares similar interests of gaming, Marvel/DC, and swimming.
Key responsibilities:
Assist me with ADL's.
In home activities such as cooking, cleaning, laundry & gardening.
Support me to achieve my goals to reach my potential in all facets of my life.
Support my life skill development through best practice implementation of established plans and programs to support the achievement of goal outcomes for me.
Actively engage in Person Centred active support.
Maintain accurate records.
Shifts I am looking for someone to support me on a Part Time basis and commit to the below permanent roster line.
Week 1 - Wednesday 1130-1930, Thursday 1130-1930, Friday 1130-1930, Monday 1130-1930, Tuesday 1130-1930Week 2 - Saturday 1130-1930, Sunday 1130-1930Week 3 - Wednesday 1130-1930, Thursday 1130-1930, Friday 1130-1930, Monday 1130-1930, Tuesday 1130-1930Week 4 - Saturday 1130-1930, Sunday 1130-1930
The ideal candidate will have:
NDIS Worker Screening or DHS Disability related check
Current Driver's Licence
Current First Aid Certificate
Current CPR
Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability/Aged Care) or other relevant qualification
About you: I am looking for a creative and positive person to join my team who loves animals as I have 3 cats. I enjoy gaming and love staff to share a common interest. A good match for me would be someone who is into DC & Marvel, enjoys gaming, has an efficient and confident approach in what they do and possesses a calm and patient nature.
Other requirements:
Experience in working with people with behaviours of concerns.
Ability to implement individualised developmental programs.
Experience implementing positive behaviour support strategies.
Flexible working hours
Experience in various models of support preferred.
Ability to adapt quickly to changes in service delivery.
