This is an ongoing, full time (1.0 FTE) role at our Sandringham Junior School Campus, commencing ASAP.

Overview:

Firbank Grammar School is looking for an energetic, caring and enthusiastic ELC specialist to work with our amazing team in our Long Day Care program.

The role of the Early Learning Centre Long Day Program Coordinator is to plan, prepare, implement and evaluate a developmentally appropriate program for our before school, after school and holiDay Programs. Supported by a team of professional, caring and enthusiastic early childhood qualified staff, you will overlook the operations and routines of this important part of our Firbank ELC program. It is expected that you will demonstrate effective knowledge of the National Quality Framework and embed this understanding in your practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the ELC Long Day Program (incorporating ELC Holiday Program), developing and evaluating the program, and promoting the program to families
  • Implement and record an appropriate food program in consultation with the ELC Administrator
  • Create a holiDay Program with incursion sourcing and bookings
  • Actively contribute to the development of a strong, collaborative, and supportive team
  • Ensure that all regulations and laws are adhered to and documents are filled in accordance to policies and procedures.
  • Be actively involved as part of a collaborative team in assessing the service against the NQS to identify which practices can, or should, be improved upon
  • Be involved in and contribute to the service QIP

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant Early Childhood Education qualification or ACECQA approved Diploma or Certificate III Qualification
  • Current VIT Registration or Working with Children Check
  • Effective knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework
  • Sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework and Regulations
