We are a recently established small medical specialist practice and are looking for a Personal Assistant/Senior Medical Receptionist who is focussed on providing high level administrative support for our doctors.
Key responsibilities: -
- You will assist with the day to day running of the clinic and ensure that the patient experience is aligned with our values, the delivery of efficient and effective administration and reception functions associated with the clinical service delivery
- Proven ability to lead and encourage teamwork
- Ability to manage clinic budget and order stock
- Business promotion and marketing
- Meeting and greeting patients, responding to telephone calls and email enquiries
- Booking of appointments - consulting and hospital theatre lists
- Accurately invoice, receipt and reconcile patient payments, accounts and invoicing
- Manage patient enquiries and referrals
- Provide general secretarial duties including scanning, faxing and printing
- Participation in quality improvement activities
Essential requirements: -
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in a surgical/medical practice in a Personal Assistant/receptionist/practice manager role
- An understanding or experience in practice accreditation and standards
- Possess excellent verbal, telephone and computer skills (experience with Clinic to Cloud medical software highly preferable, minimum 50 wpm)
- Knowledge of billing in regards to Medicare, DVA, Worker's Compensation/Third Party and Hospital Funds (Eclipse)
- Experience in staff training, inductions, rostering, performance reviews and the onboarding of new doctors
- Awareness of medical ethics and privacy principles
- Reliable, organized, good time management and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well under pressure and to multi-task in a busy environment.
- Be well presented and have a genuine interest in helping people
- A genuine desire to be trained and upskilled to assist our practice
- Understanding of work health and safety
- National Police Clearance is mandatory
- First Aid/CPR Certificate is also desirable
