Personal Assistant / Medical Secretary - Dr Alex Jay

Urological Solutions seeks an experienced Personal Assistant / Medical Secretary to join our friendly and busy practice at the Tennyson Centre and Flinders Private Hospital on a 6–12-month contract. 

We are looking for someone who is proficient and skilled in performing secretarial and administration duties in specialist rooms. Must be reliable, a team player who can work under pressure and is committed to achieving the highest standard of patient care. 

Key responsibilities: -

• Meeting and greeting patients and responding to telephone calls 
• Booking of appointments - consulting and theatre 
• Patient accounts, including invoicing and payments
• Provide administrative services for our satellite clinics 
• Managing patient enquiries 
• Participation in quality improvement activities 

Essential requirements: - 

• Previous experience working in busy specialist rooms
• Experience with Genie software
• Knowledge of billing regulations in regards to Medicare and Hospital Funds 
• Awareness of medical ethics and privacy principles 
• Organized, good time management and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as a team
• Flexibility to travel within the metro area to our satellite clinics 
• COVID19 vaccination
• Police clearance
