As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting individuals who require assistance with daily activities due to aging, illness, or disability. Responsibilities:
Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and toileting.
Provide assistance with dressing, mobility, and transferring clients safely.
Support clients with meal preparation, feeding, and medication reminders as required.
Perform light housekeeping duties, such as laundry, cleaning, and maintaining a tidy living environment.
Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, promoting social interaction and well-being.
Document care provided and report any changes in clients' conditions to supervisory staff.
Adhere to established care plans and maintain confidentiality of client information.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Personal Care Assistant is preferred.
Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is advantageous.
Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to assist others in maintaining their independence.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
Reliable and trustworthy, with a strong sense of responsibility and integrity.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, following established protocols and procedures.
