Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Personal Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential care and support to our residents, ensuring their comfort, safety and wellbeing. This role involves assisting with daily activities, Personal Care, and companionship.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist residents with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
· Provide mobility support and help with transferring residents from bed to wheelchair, chair etc.
- Assist with meal feeding
· Monitor and report changes in residents’ health and well-being to Registered Nurse, Enrolled Nurse or Care Manager.
· Engaged residents in social and recreation activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
· Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, including making beds and tidying rooms.
· Follow care plans and ensure residents’ individual needs are met.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Aged Care)
- Current First Aid & CPR
- National Disability Worker Screening Card (NDIS) (or willingness to obtain).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful attitude toward residents.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Flexible availability, including weekends, public holidays and night shift.
