Position Overview: We are seeking experienced, enthusiastic, and self-motivated Home Care Assistants with a passion for working with a culturally and linguistically diverse background, especially from Nepal and India, to support clients in their own homes. The role includes providing Personal Care, shopping, house cleaning, cooking, social support, and religious support, including yoga and meditation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Treat clients with dignity and respect, supporting them to maintain their identity
- Support clients with respect to their independence and making informed choices about their care and services
- Be flexible with a changing roster to meet the needs of clients
- Provide outstanding person-centered care
- Provide excellent social and domestic assistance
- Complete reporting and documentation based on Spontaneous Care policies and procedures
- Have knowledge of yoga and meditation for mental health
Requirements:
- Must have your own reliable car and current Full Australian Drivers Licence
- Certificate III in Aged or Disability or equivalent
- Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to undertake and maintain the equivalent throughout employment
- Appropriate evidence of being sufficiently vaccinated for any vaccination for the Employers workplace as a result of a State Government Directive
- A valid and satisfactory NDIS Worker Screening Check (e.g., Working with Children Check)
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of yoga and meditation for mental health
