About The Position
Join our vibrant team as a Personal Care Attendant (PCA) and embrace an exciting opportunity at Torrens Grove Retirement Village. This is a casual position, including both day and night shifts. We are seeking a motivated person to make a positive impact and become part of our close-knit team, as well as embrace the chance to be a source of comfort and joy for our residents.
Reporting to the Village Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting and supporting residents in their daily activities, including tasks like continence management, showering, dressing, and personal grooming
- Ensuring residents receive their prescribed medications promptly and accurately
- Collaborating in the preparation, service, and delivery of daily meals and special functions for our cherished residents
- Managing laundry tasks for residents as required, maintaining their comfort and hygiene
Essential Criteria
As part of the application process, you will be required to provide proof of right to work in Australia and verification of identification in addition to:
- Demonstrated experience in the role and industry
- Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support
- Great communication skills essential
- Drivers Licence and Reliable Transport (desirable)
- National Police Check (or ability to obtain)
- First Aid & CPR Certificate (or ability to obtain)
- Undertake a pre-employment medical assessment including Drug and Alcohol Testing
