THE POSITION
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Attendant (PCA) to join our dynamic team at Lincoln Grove Village. As a PCA, you will play a vital role in ensuring our residents receive exceptional care and support in accordance with RetireAustralia's values and best practices. Reporting to the Village Manager, this casual position is responsible for:
- Providing personalised care to residents, including support with daily living activities like grooming and mobility, medication management, overall cleaning assistance and social support advocacy.
- Responding promptly and appropriately to resident calls, in line with operational guidelines.
- Ensuring clear and detailed handovers to the next rostered employee after every shift, including sleepover shifts, containing completion of relevant notes and incident reporting.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
As part of the application process, you will be required to provide a National Police Check, proof of right to work in Australia, participate in pre-employment assessment, verification of identification and qualifications. Additionally, you will have:
- Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent).
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificates (or willing to obtain).
- Adequately fitness level to perform duties effectively and safely.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with all residents and staff.
- A genuine interest in working within the aged care industry with empathy, kindness, and patience.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol test.
