The Role: Veterans Personal Care Worker
As a Veterans Personal Care Worker at BET Group, you will play a crucial role in providing person-centered and active support to veterans, acknowledging the unique experiences and challenges they face after serving in the ADF. Your support will be a tangible expression of Australia's gratitude for their service and sacrifice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate within a dedicated team (which may include families) to provide holistic support services to veterans.
- Offer practical assistance to enhance the veteran's ability to live independently.
- Perform tasks the veteran may struggle with independently, ensuring they can maintain their lifestyle in the comfort of their own home.
- Provide a range of care services, including but not limited to domestic assistance, Personal Care, and regular welfare checks.
- Individuals aligned with our values and the choice and control approach.
- Team players who thrive in a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- A passion for making a positive impact on the lives of veterans and their families.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving best practices in veteran care.
- NDIS Worker Check and Vulnerable Person Check: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, with checks updated every five years.
- Certificate III in Individual Support or Equivalent: Possess a recognized qualification demonstrating proficiency in Individual Support.
- Right to Work in Australia: Must have the legal right to work in Australia and be able to provide supporting evidence.
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Private Motor Vehicle: Own a registered, insured, and road-worthy private motor vehicle for use during shifts.
- Flexibility and Travel: Exhibit flexibility and a willingness to travel, working at all BET work locations as required.
- Manual Handling Certificate: Hold a current Manual Handling Certificate and be physically able to undertake manual handling procedures.
- First Aid, CPR and Medication Administration Certificates.
