Who we are: Tenterfield Care Centre Ltd (TCC) is a not-for-profit organisation, committed to providing high-quality, personalised aged care for the Tenterfield community and surrounds.
TCC offers residential aged care (including dementia-specific care), independent living, respite, and community aging services through the operation of Haddington Nursing Home and Millrace Hostel.
The Role
We are offering both permanent and casual opportunities for multiple Personal Care Workers to join our facility based in Tenterfield, NSW.
Personal Carers contribute to resident comfort and quality of life by providing safe, high-quality care in accordance with each resident's care plan.
It is essential that you understand the residential aged care environment and standards and have a high level of empathy and compassion for our residents.
What you will do
The Personal Care Worker is responsible for ensuring:
- Personal care is provided in accordance with each resident’s needs and preferences such as personal hygiene, continence care, mobility, eating & drinking etc.
- Clinical Care such as medication support, basic dressings, and wound care, measuring vital signs etc
- Social and recreational support such as assisting residents' family and visitors, and assisting residents attending activities.
- Domestic services such as cleaning and serving meals,
- Assessment and care planning such as completing care documentation, including progress notes and daily charts
- Minimum Cert III in Aged Care or equivalent (or enrolled in same)
- Experience in providing daily care and activities to clients
- Currently hold and maintain an NDIS Worker Clearance (or willing to obtain)
- Please note - Covid Vaccinations are NO longer a requirement
- Be passionate about delivering a person-centered approach to care
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
