ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking reliable and compassionate high performing, qualified and experienced Personal Carers to become companions to our clients living independently in their own homes in suburbs surrounding St. Kilda, Prahran, Windsor, Caulfield, Carnegie, Bentleigh, Brighton, Bonbeach and Bayside.
Work you own hours ranging from 7.00am to 10.00pm, Monday to Sunday to suit your family/work life on a fortnightly roster so you can plan your days.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with Personal Care including showering, dressing and grooming
- Domestic duties and household chores including washing and ironing, cleaning the bathroom, changing the bed linen and tidying the home
- Accompany the client for walks or engage in conversation
- Take them shopping or to doctor appointments or social engagements
- Social support and preparing to accept visitors into the home
- Develop a positive and respectful working relationship that centres around respecting cultural values and beliefs
ABOUT YOU
- Certificate III or IV in Aged Care or Individual Support (mandatory)
- Previous experience in residential Aged Care or Comunity Aged Care
- Victorian Drivers Licence & Reliable Vehicle (mandatory)
- Available to work min 15 hours per week
- Patient, warm and welcoming character
- Predisposition to respecting the wishes of client in regard to the way they wants things done
- Experience in the Jewish Ethos and Shabbos preparation (highly regarded)
