We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Senior Personal Care Worker who is looking for a challenge.
- Located out of our Braybrook office, our Senior Personal Care Worker will be covering the Northern and Western suburbs of Melbourne.
- This position is 0.7 FTE (53.00 hours fortnightly PPT) with flexible hours available.
- Pay rate – $30.79 per hour plus superannuation and Salary Packaging available.
- A 6-month orientation program will be implemented for the successful candidate - Supporting our Carers is our priority!
What you do matters. The Senior Personal Care Worker role will support the In-Home Support Assistants and Workforce Coordination teams with:
- Buddy/Mentoring for existing and new Personal Care Workers (PCW) employees.
- Client/Carer feedback between PCW's, Client Advisors and Workforce Coordinators to streamline follow up and information sharing.
- Follow up roster/pay queries from PCW staff.
- Assist with the Recruitment and Induction of new staff members in conjunction with the Senior Workforce Coordinators (WFC) and Workforce Coordinators.
- Assistance in making clients calls and following up emails where required.
- Ad hoc client/carer on site visits.
- Identify training required for PCW's to allow for growth and upskilling.
- Troubleshooting and assisting with mandatory online training / incident reporting / tablet issues.
- Supporting the team to deliver care with safe manual handling practices.
- Backfill for WFC’s on leave.
What we look for
- Cert III or Cert IV in Individual Support / Age Care / Disability
- 3 Years’ experience as a Personal Care Worker.
- A background in Home and Community Care.
- A genuine passion for caring and ability to build rapport with clients.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- A reliable car and valid driver’s license.
- Respect for all, regardless of background, gender, age, religion, race, or sexual orientation.
To work in Home Care, you will need to provide proof of vaccinations (annual flu), and evidence of your qualification (if applicable), and supply or obtain a suitable national police check outcome, CPR and First Aid Training Certificates (we'll only ask you for these when we need them).
