Now, we're expanding our services to include personalized fitness programs, and we're searching for passionate and dedicated Personal Trainers to join our team!
Position Overview:
As a Personal Trainer with GCLA, you'll play a vital role in delivering our hydrotherapy program at the Gladstone Aquatic Centre. You'll work closely with our aged care customers, providing expert guidance and support to help them improve their mobility, strength, and overall fitness. In addition to hydrotherapy classes, you'll also lead land-based exercise sessions and collaborate with our team to develop and implement innovative fitness programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead hydrotherapy classes for aged care customers, focusing on mobility, strength, and rehabilitation.
- Conduct land-based exercise sessions to complement our hydrotherapy program.
- Work collaboratively with other Personal Trainers, health professionals, and support workers to develop and support the aquafit program.
- Assist with the setup and pack-down of class equipment, ensuring a safe and efficient environment.
- Collect session fees and provide assistance to customers entering and exiting the pool.
- Support the smooth running of the Aquafit program by assisting with various duties as required.
Key Requirements:
- Fully qualified Personal Trainer with relevant certification.
- Hydrotherapy certificate or a willingness to obtain one.
- Current First Aid certificates.
- Ability to pass a Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to working with aging populations.
- Flexible availability, with approximately 8-15 hours per week.
