The Role
Breeder Account Manager is a phone-heavy role, making/taking up to 60 phone calls per day. Cold-calling breeders of cats/dogs to share the value of our unique Breeder Program and Pet Insurance offer.
Full-time role - varying across 6 days, located in Port Macquarie office, NSW. Wage commensurate with experience. No caps on commissions. Remote employment considered for exceptional applicants – living outside of Port Macquarie.
The resilience to make repeated cold-calls and convey value in an elevator pitch is key to this role. Following-up with a powerful onboarding experience to create and then maintain a strong bond with each breeder - so Trupanion can help their litters for life.
An understanding of dog and cat medical needs and/or experience within a veterinary team would be helpful.

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Outbound cold calls to breeder leads & follow-ups
- Professional and efficient use of email
- Achieve monthly goals
- Report results regularly to Breeders and Internally
- Maintain strong relationships with, and troubleshoot issues for, Breeders
- Drive new relationships at industry events as required
Experience:
- Cold-Calling
- Explaining value to external clients
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Genuine desire to help pets
- Working in a Veterinary team - preferred
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
- Relationship builder – quick to make friends and maintain them long term

- Triage workload to support participating breeders while calling leads
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment
