SalaryWe are looking for Early Career (min 2 years of experience) or Experienced Pharmacists to join us on a full-time permanent basis. Interns will also be considered (see below).
We are a collaborative organisation that works closely with healthcare practitioners in clinics, hospitals, and health centres across the Kimberley. Our pharmacists have the unique opportunity to do dynamic work embedded in the community, being an integral part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team working to provide effective treatment and preventative care to the communities we serve.
The day-to-day work you do will depend on which setting you're working in (community pharmacy, clinic or hospital) but will typically include: dispensing medications, patient counselling, consulting with prescribers and pharmacy administration (stock ordering/receipt).
You will need to be a strong problem-solver who knows when to adapt your approach for your patient. As a strong communicator and collaborator, you will need to build relationships with community members and healthcare providers throughout the region.
All of our pharmacists work within a multi-disciplinary healthcare teams, where they are usually the only pharmacist. To succeed this role, you will need to be able to make confident and autonomous decisions regarding pharmaceutical care.
You will rotate through different areas of the Kimberley, working in our Broome, Derby, and Fitzroy Crossing pharmacies. Duration of the rotations will vary depending on pharmacy needs, but will typically be 3 months.

INTERNS! We will consider pharmacists looking for an internship. To get the best learning experience you will be based in Broome for your entire internship, with periodic short trips (~1wk) to Derby and Fitzroy Crossing to see how the other pharmacies operate and to enhance your professional development. On successful completion of your internship you will be offered a pharmacist position on the terms described above. Intern applicants must demonstrate a willingness to stay in the Kimberley after the completion of their internship.
