The Client

Located in Kadina, South Australia, Newbery Chemists is a cornerstone of community health, offering a comprehensive suite of pharmacy services tailored to individual needs. Renowned for its personalized customer service, Newbery Chemists provides prescription dispensing, health screenings, immunizations, wellness programs, and a selection of cosmetics and skincare products, all delivered by knowledgeable pharmacists.

The Role

They are seeking a full time Pharmacist to join their team in Kadina, Yorke Peninsula in South Australia. This is for a full time position at an annual salary at $80,000 plus superannuation.

The Responsibilities

• Preparing and checking medication prescribed to the patient
• Identifying potential interactions between drugs and providing information to the patient
• Ordering stock and ensuring that it is kept in appropriate conditions
• Maintaining accurate and detailed records of all medication processed through the pharmacy
• Offering advice on dosages, side effects and other aspects of drug interaction
• Delivering community healthcare services such as prescription collection and delivery
• Offering screening programmes for common ailments such as diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol
• Recruiting, hiring and training staff including overseeing Trainee Pharmacists and Pharmacy Assistants
• Working with the pharmaceutical staff to maintain a clean, customer-friendly workplace

The requirements

• Bachelor degree qualifications in Pharmacy
• Unrestricted AHPRA registration
• At least 4 years' experience in fulfilling similar responsibility in a commercial pharmacy setting
• Attention to detail and precision in record keeping
• Demonstrated experience working in fast paced environment
• The ability to prioritise workload and adapting to change in work requirements
• Good interpersonal skills
