The opportunity:
We are seeking a full-time Pharmacist in Charge to join us at our pharmacy at St Vincent’s Private Hospital in Kew. Working Monday to Friday with no late nights, this is a fantastic opportunity to further enhance your career in a supportive multidisciplinary team environment. It’s also a great place for existing community pharmacists to start a hospital pharmacy career.
In this role you will provide pharmacy services to inpatient and day surgery patients, ensuring that all pharmacy activities are completed to a high standard while supporting the quality use of medicines. Full induction and training will be provided for the successful candidate.
In this role, you’ll:
- Oversee daily operations, including dispensing and clinical activities
- Be efficient and effective at dispensing and distribution of medication
- Provide efficient clinical pharmacy services
- Conduct medication history interviews, medication reconciliation and discharge summaries at transfers of care
- Educate and advise staff and patients on disease prevention, drug selection and the proper use of medicines
- Involvement in quality activities within the department
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service to clients and patients

Eligibility Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year experience in an Australian based hospital or community pharmacy
