This is a newly created role supporting the leadership team with their ongoing efforts to manage prospect and existing donor relationships through engagement, cultivation and recognition activities which deepen and strengthen the organisation's donor base.   Self-motivated and independent, the successful applicant will have a track record of working in a similar role and used to nurturing and recognising corporate donors and individual contributions in a meaningful and engaging manner.  

Key focus areas will include:

  • Management of an effective donor cultivation and recognition calendar which leverages from program events and Executive activities to create a deeper sense of engagement with the organisation's mission. 
  • Develop relationships with donors to understand specific areas of interest to then design, implement and oversee an editorial calendar of individual, foundation and mass donor communications which integrates with the programs and events schedule and the grant proposal calendar
  • Support the Development Managers and Executives in cultivation, direct solicitation, and stewardship of new major gifts, high-net-worth donors, and prospects working to ensure that each major donor and prospect has a clear strategy and timeline for cultivation solicitation and stewardship; 
  • Leverage the knowledge capital and talents of our board members, volunteers and donors, develop activities that better connect our staff, coaches, and clients to interested philanthropic partners; 
  • Serve as contact point for a portfolio of donors and prospects, helping to develop and implement cultivation strategies and maintain records (using Salesforce) of all interactions; 
  • Manage assigned relationships with great thought and care to increase engagement and revenue; 
  • Assist with organisation of events as required. 


Successful applicants will have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. Experience in a similar organisation supporting education overseas would be useful and relevant.
