About us:
Allied health play an important role in achieving the objectives set out in our . Allied health work closely with medical, nursing, technical and operational colleagues and community partners to optimise patient recovery and well-being. About the role:

  • Utilise advanced level paediatric clinical skills in at least one area of allied health practice, as well as extended skills across a range of allied health disciplines to provide day to day clinical leadership in the interdisciplinary delivery of Allied Health paediatric services.
  • Collaborate with medical and nursing colleagues, at a ward and service level, develop, implement and evaluate Clinical Pathways that address complex patient needs across the continuum
  • Lead role in the identification, development, implementation and evaluation of referral management processes within the multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Collaborate with the Professional Directors of Allied Health disciplines to ensure workforce sustainability including skill development and succession planning for Paediatrics to improve the reliability and quality of patient care for clinical services as well as improve patient outcomes.
About you:
To be successful in this role you must have:
  • Mandatory possession of an Allied Health qualification in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Speech Pathology, Nutrition and Dietetics or Social Work from a registered tertiary institution.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply contemporary advanced-level knowledge, expertise and skills in Paediatric and Child Development Services.
  • Ability to apply evidence-based principles to facilitate novel, complex and multidisciplinary clinical decisions in the best interest of Paediatric and Child Development Services.
  • Ability to provide clinical practice supervision and support to multi-disciplinary Allied Health clinicians and students and the operational workforce at a service wide level.

Total remuneration value of up to $167,588 p.a. is comprised of:
  • A salary between $140,767 - $146,883 p.a.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
