Better Health Network (BHN) – Allied Health team has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Adult Physiotherapist. The BHN physiotherapy team at the southeastern campus consists of 6 physiotherapists working across three main sites – Parkdale, Chelsea, and Clarinda. We work within a broad multidisciplinary team with Senior Clinician Physiotherapist support.
Job Description
As clinicians, we strongly advocate on behalf of our participants so they have the support they need when they need it. Your role will involve promoting client well-being and active participation in the decision-making process by providing person-centered, holistic, and goal-directed care.
- Clinical observations and standardised assessments are used to assess participants' physical capacity and function
- Formulating treatment goals that are unique to each participant based on findings
- Engage participants in therapeutic interventions that are evidence-based and help them live a more fulfilling life
- The Physiotherapist will assess and treat clients individually and in groups, supported by Allied Health Assistants (AHAs). The role also requires the supervision of students, junior staff (as needed), and AHAs.
About You
To be successful, you will have:
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Physiotherapist.
- Working knowledge of community care.
- Dedicated to delivering high-quality outcomes to clients through service excellence.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with families, caregivers and other professionals from a variety of cultures.
