About the facility
The Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Clinic consists of a specialist multidisciplinary team that provides integrated assessment, planning, intervention and ongoing support to clients with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and other Progressive Neurological Diseases.
The MND @ Home program will focus specifically on providing home visits and a telehealth service toward ensuring a specialist high quality service is provided across the state including to those patients located a distance from the clinic and to those more palliative patients who cannot easily attend the clinic. The position is based at the McKellar Centre.
About the role
The Physiotherapist within the MND Clinic will work within the multidisciplinary team to provide integrated assessment, planning, intervention and ongoing supports to clients. The Physiotherapist will work collaboratively with other clinicians across the state to provide the best shared care of patients. The Physiotherapist will be responsible for providing secondary consultation and education toward upskilling colleagues in the best management of people with MND and progressive neurological disease.
