As SA’s largest not-for profit provider of disability services, Minda provides supported independent living accommodation, supported employment and community engagement options, as well as therapy and respite services.
Minda’s Therapy Services team is currently undertaking an exciting transformation of its services and infrastructure, to further establish its brand as a contemporary leader in the provision of person-centred services to clients living with intellectual and physical disability.
Due to growth in demand for our services, we have a new vacancy for a Physiotherapist or Senior Physiotherapist to work part time, up to a full-time basis. Our Physiotherapists provide assessment and supports to ensure Minda clients maximise their physical potential, and overall wellbeing.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to referrals and recommend specific therapy services for Minda clients.
- Work with clients, and their supports and families to guide exercise programs, hydrotherapy, equipment prescription and functional assessments.
- Undertake complex physiotherapy assessments, interventions, and therapies.
- Actively promote physiotherapy within the disability setting.
- Complete documentation and reporting to comply with NDIS practice standards.
- Operate autonomously, seeking clinical supervision as required.
Essential Requirements:
- Qualifications in Physiotherapy and current practicing certificate with AHPRA.
- Experience providing disability Physiotherapy services including undertaking complex physiotherapies and interventions.
- Strong consultation skills to provide advice and recommendations for therapy services, and related training for prescribed equipment and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively relate to individuals with intellectual and other forms of disability, and their families, carers, and support staff.
- Ability to provide a high standard of support to a person with disability using multi-disciplinary, and a functional and collaborative approach.
Other:
- NDIS worker clearance.
- Current unrestricted SA drivers’ licence.
