Talent Quarter are delighted to be supporting our valued client in their search for Medical Imaging Technologists to join Northeast Health Wangaratta’s Medical Imaging Department at their Green Street Campus.
About your role
Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is a leading Victorian health service committed to providing quality health care to more than 90,000 people across North East Victoria. As the major referral facility for people with complex health needs from Bright, Mansfield, Beechworth, Myrtleford, Yarrawonga, Euroa and Benalla, NHW offer an extensive range of emergency and healthcare services as well as providing a telehealth service to these smaller facilities.

The Medical Imaging Technologist will provide professional and efficient imaging services to patients and clients of NHW. To be successful in this role, you will have the ability to perform various imaging examinations in accordance with the Radiology Department protocols and make accurate diagnostic decisions. It is essential that this role establishes collaborative working relationships in the Department and with Radiologists and other medical staff to ensure an efficient workflow and optimise patient care.
About you
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate high level clinical skills, demonstrated knowledge and commitment to quality improvement, and excellent planning, organisational and communication skills. You will possess:
- Recognised qualifications in Medical Imaging, and eligibility for registration with AHPRA
- Documented clinician experience
- Excellent communication, consultative and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge and experience of accreditation programs
- Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in all aspects of quality and safety and their application to risk management within a healthcare environment
- Ability to participate in out of hours, weekend and on-call roster
Prior experience in a public health facility, clinical experience in CT and/or MRI, experience with Students in Medical Radiations, professional membership of the Australian Institute of Radiology and/or post-graduate qualifications would be desirable but not essential.
