Supporting approximately 2000+ clients living with range of neuro conditions (including MS, Motor Neurone’s disease and Parkinson’s) MSWA specialises in providing respiratory, pelvic health and continence and lymphedema physiotherapy services.
We aim to help our clients maximise their independence and improve quality of life and the impact of their condition.
Regular exercise can help our clients improve cardiovascular health, strength, endurance, flexibility, and stamina, whilst also reducing fatigue, stress, and anxiety.
The gyms located within our service centres are well-equipped and contain specialised equipment for those with mobility or other restrictions.
As a Physiotherapy Assistant, on a day-to-day basis this could include:
- Assisting clients with exercise programs (e.g., stretches, resisted exercise with weights, recording weights and repetitions, balance, and walking exercises.
- Assisting the Physio or Exercise Physiologist in providing exercise classes (e.g., hydrotherapy and circuit classes), implementing home programs, assisting with client personal care when receiving exercise programs, and a host of other important duties.
- Ensuring all equipment are kept clean and tidy.
- Documenting all therapy sessions and ensuring case notes are updated accordingly.
You’ll be supported by a very highly skilled, knowledgeable, and trained team who really ensure that our clients are empowered the live their best possible lives.
Our ‘must haves’
- Certificate III in Health Services Assistance and/or Certificate IV Allied Health Assistance (Physiotherapy) or equivalent study/experience.
- Current 'C' Class Drivers Licence with no restrictions.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain.)
- Basic first aid and CPR training (we can help you there if not.)

- Knowledge of manual handling techniques.
