We are seeking applications from dedicated and proficient Instrumental Music Tutors specialising in Piano for individual student instruction. As an Instrumental Music Tutor at Emanuel School, you will play a crucial role as an accomplished musician. Your primary focus will be to enhance our diverse music program by providing high-quality tutoring, preparing students for examinations and performances.
Additionally, you will be willing to support the Emanuel School’s music program by aiding in rehearsals and performances, and possibly leading or assisting co-curricular ensembles if required. This position will commence Term 2, 2024. You will work across both the Junior and Senior school.
Possessing formal music qualifications, you have a track record of developing high performing young musicians, the skills and confidence to manage student behaviour and a demonstrated ability to both inspire young people to find their passion in music and motivate students at differing levels of ability.
You must be an outstanding communicator, creative and able to work well with students, parents, and other staff. You are committed to continual professional development and reflection and have a genuine interest in the growth of young people. You have a willingness to work outside of regular school hours for performances and events, when required. You are enthusiastic, passionate, and prepared to contribute to all aspects of School life, including supporting the vision and goals of the school.
The successful applicant will have formal tertiary music qualifications, experience teaching a wide range of students P-12 (beginner to HSC) and demonstrated experience and success in building a flourishing private teaching studio. They will possess exceptional organisational and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in both self-directed manner and collaboratively as part of a team, be confident in the use of technology and have a willingness to embrace it to enhance communication and learning. Accompaniment experience is highly desirable
