Pipe Fabricator required to provide manufacture and installation of pipework in relation to ship repair, this role is based in both a workshop, aboard all types of vessels and buildings with the use of both ferrous and non-ferrous metals in support of the Naval business in this wide and varied role.Ability to Jig up, Mark off, bend and fabricate pipework.Operation of workshop machinery and operation of e.g. Hydraulic Benders, threading machines etcWork across a variety of environments on naval vesselsAssist with developing the skills of apprenticesWorking a team environment which encourages new ideas and improvementsHow About You?Cert III Plumbing essentialExperience in MIG , TIG and Stick welding (Cert III Welding / Fabrication advantageous)Forklift, Dogman, working and heights and confined spaces tickets (advantageous)Safety conscious with sound problem-solving skillsExperience in ship repair or heavy industry highly regardedGood to KnowYou’ll get an email acknowledgement after you’ve applied, Thales strives to provide a personalised experience for all suitable applicants.As a Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.
