We are a small Accounting Firm in St Kilda seeking an experienced Receptionist/Administrator.
Previous experience in accounting and taxation administration is not a requirement, but it would be beneficial. Your role involves helping our friendly team with administrative tasks to ensure that our office runs smoothly. This includes managing the diary, providing reception relief, liaising closely with our two partners, and ensuring that our clients have a pleasant experience both over the phone and face-to-face. We are looking for a cheerful, detail-oriented, and bright individual to join us on a full-time basis, starting immediately.

Responsibilities
- Answering and directing voice calls and emails.
- Writing personalised letters to clients. Packing and sending tax returns for individuals and larger groups.
- Dealing with paper and electronic mail.
- Manage the reception area. Supervise the maintenance of office areas and equipment.
- Diary management.
- Provide office guests with a hospitable experience.
- Being the main point of contact of the company.
- Engagement, new client onboarding, and ethical clearance processes.
- Liaison with the Australian Taxation Office, ASIC, and other third parties.
- Liaison with staff and clients over the phone and email.
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task, organise, and prioritise work.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet quality and productivity goals.
- High level of integrity and honesty.
- Helpful, self-motivated.
- Experience with XERO, XPM, ASIC and ATO Tax Agent Portal. (not essential)
