About the Company:

About the Role: 
Based at our client's Melbourne office, we are currently seeking a suitably qualified and energetic Pipeline Engineer who can take on technical engineering responsibilities. 

The Pipeline Engineer works within Pipeline Engineering team, and will have a responsible for design of pipeline systems for the oil and gas and energy industries.

Ideally you will have at least 5 to 10 years’ previous Pipeline Engineering experience in the Gas and Energy sector on both greenfield and brownfield projects. Experience on gas networks,  facilities construction projects, major EPC projects and/or Infrastructure projects will all be considered advantageous.  

To be successful, you will preferably have experience with elements of the following in the Australian on-shore oil and gas infrastructure project environment:

  • Engineering and design of natural gas networks and pipelines 
  • Preparation and review of design deliverables within an interdisciplinary design team,
  • Pigging strategies for existing networks,
  • Preparation of engineering documentation.
  • Provide technical engineering advice and support.
  • Preparation, submission and evaluation of tender packages 
  • Familiarity with the relevant Australian and International Standards,
  • Vendor package management and expediting,

Essential Qualities and Background

  • Degree qualified engineer with minimum of 5 to 10 years' post graduate experience in an aligned industry,
  • Strong knowledge of pipeline design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria, and specifically the AS2885 suite of standards.
  • Strong computer literacy skills with advanced knowledge of MS applications,
  • Ability to work efficiently, effectively and to hard deadlines,
  • Adaptability to be able to work directly from client's offices representing Enscope when needed,
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both internal & external stakeholders,
  • Availability to travel interstate and to sites when needed (rosters are negotiated on a case by case basis).

Enscope works in all States of Australia so candidates must be willing to travel to our head quarters, state offices and client offices, in Victoria, Queensland and Western Australia on occasion.
