Freyssinet Australia are looking for a Pipeline Patrolman who will be responsible for execution of all onsite activities associated with the monitoring and maintenance of buried oil and gas pipelines.
The ideal applicant will come with experience with the following operations:
- Regular patrols of the pipelines, maintenance of signage and test points.
- Valve pit inspections and dewatering, valve actuations, vegetation control
- Supervision of third-party activities in the vicinity of the pipelines.
The position requires long stints of driving, so a valid driver’s licence is a must-have.
What Skills, Qualifications & Experience are we’re looking for?
- Have valid Australian driver’s license (mandatory)
- Experience in pipeline surveillance and operation works (Preferable but not essential)
- Have a reasonable level of fitness.
- Work independently, as well as in a team environment with minimum supervision
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Organization and time management skills
- Ability to pass medical checks as well as multiple client-site required drug and alcohol tests
- Adapt to frequently changing schedules and tight timelines
- Able to follow established HSE procedures
- Available to work outside of normal working hours on occasions. i.e., night works and weekend works. (Essential)
- Valid working rights in Australia
