RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Lead Piping Engineer and working collaboratively in multi-discipline teams across the project life cycle (Concept, FEED, Detailed Design), your role will be contributing to technical delivery of engineering excellence through the execution of assigned scopes of work and providing Piping engineering expertise to the business.
Working as part of an integrated project team you will be:
- Creating and reviewing designs, drawings, specifications, and other engineering deliverables.
- Developing a range of engineering deliverables, including specifications, calculations, reports, and technical requisitions.
- Meeting Piping engineering cost and schedule requirements in production of deliverables.
- Coordinating your own work schedule, preparing progress reports, and providing technical assistance to others.
- Keeping your Lead Piping Engineer apprised of project activities, recommending changes in plans and estimated cost.
- Reviewing vendor documentation and actively participating in design reviews.

QUALIFICATIONS
You will be an Australian citizen or hold Permanent Residency (PR) to work lawfully in Australia.
Suitably qualified in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised institution, ideally you will be a Piping engineering professional with 3+ years of experience within an EPCM / design engineering office environment.
In addition, you will have:
- Relevant Oil & Gas engineering experience (Concept, FEED and Detailed Design).
- An ability to apply the relevant technical practices, codes, and standards appropriate to the Piping Engineering discipline.
- Knowledge of managing risk during the design process consistent with safety, technical and commercial requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work in multi-disciplined culturally diverse teams.
- Technical report writing skills and excellent knowledge of MS Office applications, spreadsheets, and commercial engineering programs.
- A "solutions mindset" with an ability to work under pressure and still deliver within a challenging and complex industry environment.
What will set you a part will be your technical report writing skills and availability to undertake site visits (both Onshore / Offshore) for surveying / scoping.
