The Role
As the Allocator, you will work side by side with the Merchandise Planning team to ensure that the business is maximised and consistently delivers sales and profit targets by ensuring that we have the right product, in the right quantities, at the right time and in the right store.
Your Responsibilities:
- Allocating product from our China Distribution Centre and our local warehouse
- Provide crucial support to the Merchandising Team by monitoring deliveries and maintaining stock levels
- Analyse merchandise performance in order to maximize sales potential
- Allocate stock effectively across stores in order to meet and exceed sales goals
- Monitor deliveries and stock levels in distribution centres and stores
- Maintain product and store grading in line with agreed parameters
- Work closely with distribution team to ensure effective movement of stock through the business
- Update reporting tools with new stores + support retail reporting
- Assistance raising purchase orders if and when required
- Regular Monday morning and weekly report distribution + ad hoc reporting as requested
- Plan the stock for all new stores well in advance
- Effective liaison across all areas of the business
- Any other ad hoc duties as reasonably requested
About You
- Strong business acumen
- Analytical skills with the ability to manage large sets of data and present results in a simple manner
- Able to develop and maintain strong working relationships with peers and cross-functional teams
- Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities
- Able to perform under pressure, organise and prioritise workload to meet deadline
