Role Summary
As a Planning Analyst, you will ensure accurate network projection on volume requirement and fleet requirements. Collaborating with Distribution Centres and carrier partners to ensure fleet and timeslot capacity are sufficient for projected network volume.
You will be overseeing event planning activities, including public holiday planning, peak planning, scheduled track outages, and promotional events while leading the development of systems and process enhancements to support continuous improvement in operational planning.
Responsibilities and Key Deliverables
Ensuring precise volume forecasting to both internal and external stakeholders, spanning regular business operations, peak periods, and promotional campaigns.
Accountable for continuously enhancing forecast insights to optimise operational efficiency.
Engage stakeholders to refine the volume profile, ensuring it is operationally feasible and cost-effective.
Lead the design, implementation, and execution of process improvements.
Foster close collaboration with Business Units (BUs), Centres of Excellence (COEs), Vendor Relationship Partners (VRPs), carriers, and suppliers to coordinate all event planning activities without compromising service performance metrics.
Coordinate events such as Easter and Christmas peaks, scheduled track outages, category promotional planning, as well as state-based and national public holidays.
To be successful in this role:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in transport and/or supply chain within FMCG industry.
Exceptional communication skills, adept at fostering effective internal and external relationships across all organizational levels.
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, making crucial decisions promptly, and strategically planning to achieve long-term objectives.
Proficient in managing multiple transport management systems, with a track record of effectively overseeing and coordinating operations.
Proven proactive, fast-paced, and resilient approach to work, capable of thriving in demanding environments.
Thorough understanding of end-to-end components of integrated supply chains, coupled with demonstrated analytical and conceptual system capabilities.
Excellent planning skills and extensive exposure to supply chain dynamics.
Hands-on experience with Manhattan TMS, One Net, or similar transport systems.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications, including Excel, Access, Word, and Power BI.
Demonstrated adaptability to rapidly changing environments, with a knack for identifying and leveraging valuable data points for informed decision-making and system optimisation.
