About the role
Due to an internal promotion, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Planning Analyst to join our Brisbane based Material Support and Logistics team in an 18 month fixed term opportunity (through to Dec-2023). As a pro-active driver in your field, this is a great opportunity to join the business, influence the strategic direction of our Planning and Forecasting policy and support the development of best practice processes.
Your day-to-day activities will include but are not limited to:
- Use of the company forecasting and planning tool APS to:
- accurately forecast demand,
- establish metrics,
- produce high level models centred on critical inventory to minimise stock outs,
- develop reporting mechanisms to meet KPI's, and
- monitor performance
- Liaise regularly with key business stakeholders to ensure the critical demands and forward planning meet the business objectives
- Investigate and monitor slow moving, inactive and obsolete items
- Participate in standardisation, simplification and optimisation of processes
This position is suited to a recent graduate who is keen to apply their data analytical skills.
To be successful in this role, it is a requirement to be able to work in a team environment, have well developed relationship skills as well as good verbal and written skills. You will need to be someone who is able to work autonomously and to tight deadlines and work comfortably in a continuous improvement work environment.
The skills and experience best suited to this role include:
- Tertiary qualified in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Information Technology or related field
- Business experience working with multifunctional teams
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with high level attention to detail
- Strong technical skills in Excel, PowerQuery, VBA, Javascript
- Ability to communicate information to multi-disciplinary stakeholders
- Ability to adapt to new environments and changing requirements.
