With a <3/2 Hybrid split>, this role is based in Melbourne or Ballarat and is part of the Environmental Planning & Approvals Team
This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:
- Demonstrate understanding of work health safety and cyber security standards, applying them in the workplace.
- Ensure compliance by engaging with stakeholders and staying updated on relevant legislation, regulations, and Ausnet policies.
- Collaborate actively to share insights, lessons learned, and successes with others.
- Foster culture change through a “Listen, Learn and Act” approach to employee feedback, aligning with Ausnet's Values.
- Provide technical environmental advice on complex issues within regulatory frameworks and approvals processes.
- Work autonomously on environmental matters, solving complex issues with design and other teams.
- Lead meetings and workshops with multidisciplinary teams and consultants.
- Build and maintain relationships with key government stakeholders and Environmental interest groups.
You don’t need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science/Engineering/Planning
- Experience in a similar role
- Provision of sound environmental advice as part of major projects
- Experience in environmental assessment and approval processes
- Provision of excellent customer service and build strong relationships with the client, colleagues and delivery partners.
- Stakeholder engagement skills and experience in community consultation
- Excellent attention to detail
