About the role: Due to continued growth within Aurizon’s Bulk business unit, this is a newly created role for an experienced Plant & Equipment Project Manager to make their own!
You will be responsible for leading and delivering non-rail asset projects by implementing PM methodologies that will see you achieving objectives related to scope, time, cost, quality, and delivery of assets nationwide.
Duties may include:
- Develop a project management plan, inclusive of but not limited to sections describing scope management, cost management, schedule management and quality management.
- Manage, monitor, and control all project activities in accordance with the project management plan as well as any related functional, operational, or legal requirements.
- Report to Senior Management and other stakeholders on project progress, with particular emphasis on actual and potential variations to cost, time or quality.
- Finalise project(s) on completion which may include transfer of assets, closure of project financial systems, conducting of project audit.
- Contribute to the strategic and tactical approach and planning of mobile asset acquisitions through project phases including Concept and Pre-Feasibility.
About you:
- High level of project management skills in relation to large scale and complex organisations.
- High level of interpersonal, communication, negotiation, conflict resolution and influencing skills that build and sustain productive relationships and partnerships.
- Experience with mobile equipment
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to develop and interpret mobile equipment specifications.
- Exposure to SAP would be advantageous.
- Understand both Australian Design Rules & Australian Standards with mobile equipment.
- Good exposure to setting up QA program and establishing a QC process for mobile equipment.
