With operations in Australia and Europe, we take a technology-first approach to improving the medical cannabis patient experience – whether it’s by delivering best-in-class online clinical care, or through our industry-leading product lines and innovative supply chain management tools.Montu operates a fully integrated, end-to-end ecosystem of healthcare companies that touches every part of the medical cannabis experience, from patient care through to pharmacy dispensing, clinical education, product development, wholesale distribution and more.Recognised by the Deloitte Fast 50 as the fastest growing tech company in Australia for two years running – with revenue growth of over 26,000% and 9,000% – Montu is now the largest business of its kind outside North America.This role is an Australia-based, fully work-from-home position, with access to co-working spaces in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.Job DescriptionAs the Video Editor at Montu, you will be a key storyteller in the marketing team responsible for creating exciting editing work for a wide variety of content and channels, from ATL campaigns to short documentaries, and social content.Through experience from diverse backgrounds, the Video Editor will deliver novel concepts and perspectives and an in-depth understanding of how to reach a variety of audiences through the power of editing.Duties and Responsibilities:Create engaging, best-in-class editing work to support the creative needs of two of our brands, Montu and Alternaleaf.Work closely with the Creative Director, Art Directors, Motion Graphics Designers and other creative team members to create engaging storytelling pieces.Create editing pieces to support large integrated campaigns across a multitude of ATL and BTL channels.Create content for multiple formats and platforms, such as TVC, social paid and organic, short documentaries, podcasts, educational videos and more.Creative ownership of the decisions in the editing process.Edit videos that meet conversion objectives in performance channels.Incorporate motion graphics into live-action videos.Create titles and motion graphics.Colour grade videos for high-end results.Understanding of social media channels and their native language.Take a brief to grasp the production team’s needs and specifications.Input music, dialogues, graphics and effectsCreate rough and final cuts.Create and document online and offline post-production workflows.Consult with stakeholders from production to post-production process, including 3rd party vendorsContinuously discover and implement new editing technologies and the industry’s best practices to maximise efficiency.QualificationsYou love the opportunity to innovate, have impact and take the urgency and ambiguity in your stride that often come with working for a company on a mission to drive change, and to scale, at a pace.In addition to these foundations, you will have:5+ years of experience working in a Video Editor role (or similar) in an agency or start-up environmentAdobe Creative Suite native: Proficient in Premiere Pro and After EffectsColour grading experience in Davinci ResolveDemonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolioThorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuityFamiliarity with motion graphicsCreative mind and storytelling skillsBS degree in film studies, post-production or related fieldA curious mind, positive voice and collaborative spiritExcellent communication and presentation skillsAbility to work on a tight schedule.Ability to translate ideas into complete projectsAn innate and active interest in digital, design, video and brand identityKeen attention to detail, the big picture and alignment with the business goalsAdditional InformationYou’ll be joining a highly motivated, agile team where your ideas and work will directly influence the direction and progress of an expanding global company in a hyper-growth phase.
