Marquis Macadamias is a 100% Australian Grower owned company. Established in 1983, the company has grown to be Australia’s largest processor and marketer of macadamias with factories located at Bundaberg, QLD and Lismore, NSW.
We are looking to appoint an experienced Plant Engineer to work within the Manufacturing Management team in our Bundaberg factory. The factory is a world class food manufacturing facility that employs the latest technology food processing equipment and operates year-round supplying customers globally.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Assist the continuous development of the manufacturing process to improve processing capability and efficiency.
- Manage the maintenance team and preventative maintenance programs.
- Prepare detailed designs using CAD, develop engineering specifications, cost estimates and budgets for projects.
- Project Management as required.
- Provide technical support and training to factory staff in equipment operation and maintenance.
Required skills:
Experience in Food processing / Food hygiene, electronic colour sorting, food safety systems (including HACCP, BRC and WQA), Manufacturing systems (LEAN and six sigma).
Qualifications: Relevant Engineering degree, with food manufacturing experience.
