We have a vacancy with the National Plant Team, our team manages plant, rollingstock & equipment strategy, asset systems integration, asset reliability assurance, testing, commissioning, operations & maintenance. Currently, there is a Mobile Plant Mechanic vacancy in our NSW Plant Team based out of the Rutherford Workshop.
Your opportunity:
Reporting to the Plant Maintenance Supervisor, the Mechanic role will be responsible to carry out mechanical (and some electrical) works on plant & equipment in both workshop and field environments, to ensure our fleet remains safe and operational for our projects. This position may require travel around Sydney and as far as regional NSW to conduct plant scheduled preventative services, urgent corrective works and/or plant equipment mechanical support on major construction projects. This is a Monday to Friday role 6:00am - 2:30pm but may require overtime, shift work and occasionally some weekend work.

Key accountabilities for the role:
- Carry out services, scheduled maintenance and repairs to vehicles, plant & equipment.
- Carry out machine fault diagnosis with the ability to troubleshoot.
- Complete work orders, timesheets/service sheets
- Operate within the John Holland HSE behaviours, principles, and values.
- Promote a positive and inclusive team culture and morale.
To be successful in this key role, you must have:
- Trade Certificate
- Valid C-class drivers' license.
