Principal Accountabilities:
- Perform maintenance tasks to ensure maximum efficiency and reliability of Plant Mobile equipment.
- Assess equipment condition and reliability, and recommend repair and improvement strategies.
- Use trade knowledge and skill to effectively inspect and maintain mobile equipment to agreed standards.
- Vehicle maintenance including disassembly of engines, gearboxes then setup, reassembly and commissioning.
- Troubleshooting to determine root cause and rectification of failed mobile equipment.
- Commit and adhere to all safety procedures, regulations and standards.
- Liaise with maintenance and production personnel and other work groups to ensure the customers agreed expectations are met or exceeded.
Selection Criteria:
- Heavy vehicle/Diesel Mechanic Trade Certificate (essential)
- Demonstrated commitment to safety
- Skilled operation with all aspects of heavy fixed and mobile diesel equipment maintenance and repair
- Experience in welding
- Demonstrated commitment to equipment reliability and quality outcomes
- Proven problem solving and decision-making abilities
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated experience and skills in a maintenance role in a similar heavy industry environment
- Experience in Microsoft office programs and SAP (desirable but not essential).
- Forklift (FLT)
