Northparkes will celebrate 30 years of operations in 2024 and is known for innovative technology and committed people. Northparkes uses multiple mining methods including open pit, sub-level caving and was the first mine in Australia to use the block cave mining method. About the role
This position is within the Ore Processing Department reporting to the Senior Plant Metallurgist where you will be a part of a team who work towards ensuring continuous plant operations and optimised production output is achieved.
You will also be responsible for identifying and executing initiatives that have the potential to improve process performance and remove process constraints. This position also provides process control support for everyday issues such as loop tuning, advanced control solutions and alarm management.
This position is a full-time permanent position starting on a 9 day fortnight roster and moving to a 7/7 roster once you are familiar with the role.
This role requires the use of respiratory protective equipment (RPE) and it is necessary that workers comply with the relevant Australian Standards with regards to the wearing of RPE.
About you
- Bachelor of Engineering (Metallurgy, Chemical or Mineral Processing)
- Demonstrated experience in mineral processing in base or precious metals
- Experience with OSE and PSI operation
- Drivers licence (manual preferred)
