The Opportunity
Veolia is seeking a Water Treatment Plant Operator to join our friendly team based in Welshpool 6106. This newly created position is open to highly motivated individuals looking to gain experience within a heavy industrial environment, working as part of a team that is responsible for ensuring efficient, safe and effective operation of the water processing plant.
You will demonstrate a strong safety focus and maintenance/application of Occupational Health and Safety on all tasks including adherence and application of all policies and standards.

What you’ll be responsible for
- Industrial liquid/solid waste receival and processing.
- Operating and minor maintenance of fixed plant equipment.
- Loading and unloading trucks.
- General yard & plant housekeeping.
- Working in a dynamic team environment.
- Forklift operation.
What you’ll need to be successful
- Positive Attitude and Be a team player
- Minimum year 10, preferably year 12 graduation.
- Experience in a waste management or chemical environment / chemical handling is desirable although not essential.
- Forklift licence is desirable, but training / licensing can be provided.
- Some mechanical aptitude/ interest/ understanding is desirable.
- Willingness to undergo a National Police Clearance and medical check relevant to the role.
