9 day fortnight * 76 hour fortnight, including weekends

As a Waste Management Facility Operator you'll be working across the full day to day operations of the facility, on a range of heavy/medium/light plant machinery, and identifying issues that may have an impact on the environment and safety of the work site to manage possible risks.
You'll be involved in the daily operations in accordance with Environmental safety conditions, Site Based Management plans, Landfill Operator Guides and Manuals, and the Workplace Health and Safety Act and Regulations.
You'll be contributing to the broader outputs of the Waste Services department across our landfill and other waste facility operations, and using the administration processes, practices and procedures as required.
About you
We're looking for people who enjoy working constructively and efficiently as a part of a broader team, have good written and verbal communication skills, and a sound level of experience in operational tasks in a regulated work environment with safety focus.
To be eligible for the role you'll have:
- current HR class drivers license (mandatory)
- Construction Induction card either (or be willing to obtain at own expense before commencement)
- current competency in at least two of the following machines*:
- RIIMPO308F - Conduct tracked dozer operations (highly desirable)
- RIIMPO316E - Conduct self-propelled compactor operations (highly desirable)
- RIIMPO321F - Conduct civil construction wheeled front end loader operations
- RIIMPO320F - Conduct civil construction excavator operations
- RIIMPO315E - Tractor Operations.
- The successful candidate will be required to obtain competency in any remaining machines at own expense within 3 months of commencement.
