Plant Shutdown Coordinator

About the role

We are looking for Plant Shutdown Coordinator join our Fixed Plant Shutdown team at Brockman 4 You'll support the people scheduling and coordinating of the fixed Plant Shutdowns, as well as coordinate daily operational activities whilst promoting a positive safety culture.

Whether you're new to your profession or experienced in your field, and whatever industry you have exposure to, we have opportunities that will provide interesting work and growth opportunities for everyone.

You'll be part of a high performing team, supported by your leader to grow and achieve your own personal goals as well as the goals of the team. You'll work on an 8/6 Day Shift Roster, with the requirement to work ad hoc night shift at times, which will give you more time to spend on the things that are important to you and the people in your life.

Reporting to the Supervisor Plant Shutdowns, you will:

  • Working closely with shutdown planners in identifying, planning and scheduling scopes of work and assisting in the organisation of tooling and parts
  • Regularly engaging with the contractor workforce ensuring roles and responsibilities are clearly defined
  • Ensuring shutdown activities are completed safely and meeting the shutdown schedule, respecting the critical path and deadlines
  • Attend all shutdown preparation meetings and assist with scoping and work management plans
  • Driving a positive safety culture through pro-active, visible & authentic safety leadership
  • Involved in continuous improvement and shutdown improvement projects
  • Establish and maintain solid working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

What you'll bring

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team

  • Ideally you will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in Fixed plant/Mobile Maintenance / Shutdown industry
  • Engineering or Mechanical trade qualification highly desirable, candidates with significant conveyor maintenance experience also highly regarded.
  • High level communication skills with ability to engage effectively with internal and external parties
  • Competent user of computerised maintenance management systems - SAP & Microsoft office
  • Demonstrate high level of leadership skills to work in a fast paced / high pressure environment.
  • Ability to think quickly and make effective decisions, whilst meeting the business needs
  • Intermediate skill level and understanding of SAP, deep dives into Maintenance orders for Parts Coordination and Consolidation.
  • Previous Experience in Contractor Management
  • Previous experience in leading major maintenance activities
  • Forklift and HR License desirable but not essential
