Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and control the chlor-alkali production process.
• Monitor inventory levels to maintain adequate stock level of raw materials and finished product.
• Ensure that production schedules are adhered to, and dispatch of product is executed on time and in full. 
• Operate and maintain various process related equipment. 
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, equipment inspections, and conduct preventive maintenance to ensure operation of the plant. Adhere to and implement preventative maintenance program.
• Identify and troubleshoot operational issues and equipment malfunctions.
• Maintain accurate records of production data, process parameters, and maintenance activities.
• Adhere to strict safety protocols and ensure that all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and procedures. 
• Monitor and control the quality of the produced chemicals and ensure that they meet the specified standards.
• Ensure that environmental regulations and standards are met.

Requirements

• Forklift License
• Certificate III Process Plant Operations
• MR Truck License
• Dangerous Goods driver’s license
• Knowledge / experience with chemical plant processes especially with chlor-alkali will highly be regarded.
• Hazardous chemical handling, and safety protocols. 
• Strong understanding of safety, quality, and regulatory requirements within manufacturing
• Experience in process automation.
• Ability to work independently and manage contractors on site. 
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

The Chlor-Alkali Plant Supervisor will play a critical role in the operation and maintenance of DGL’s chlor-alkali production facility in Mt Isa. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, a good understanding of Chlor-alkali chemical process, and the ability to operate and maintain a variety of equipment.
