Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control the chlor-alkali production process.
- Monitor inventory levels to maintain adequate stock level of raw materials and finished product.
- Ensure that production schedules are adhered to, and dispatch of product is executed on time and in full.
- Operate and maintain various process related equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, equipment inspections, and conduct preventive maintenance to ensure operation of the plant. Adhere to and implement preventative maintenance program.
- Identify and troubleshoot operational issues and equipment malfunctions.
- Maintain accurate records of production data, process parameters, and maintenance activities.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and ensure that all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
- Monitor and control the quality of the produced chemicals and ensure that they meet the specified standards.
- Ensure that environmental regulations and standards are met.
Requirements
- Forklift License
- Certificate III Process Plant Operations
- MR Truck License
- Dangerous Goods driver’s license
- Knowledge / experience with chemical plant processes especially with chlor-alkali will highly be regarded.
- Hazardous chemical handling, and safety protocols.
- Strong understanding of safety, quality, and regulatory requirements within manufacturing
- Experience in process automation.
- Ability to work independently and manage contractors on site.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

The Chlor-Alkali Plant Supervisor will play a critical role in the operation and maintenance of DGL’s chlor-alkali production facility in Mt Isa. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, a good understanding of Chlor-alkali chemical process, and the ability to operate and maintain a variety of equipment.
