Due to our current expansion, we are currently seeking an experienced and driven Plant supervisor who understands the importance of exceeding expectations whilst maintaining company culture and beliefs.
At Silvercrete Precast, 70 staff make up our tight-knit professional team from our production to administration staff.
Expectation of duties:
- Collaborate with Production Manager to achieve daily production targets, safely, efficiently and maintaining product quality.
- Coordinate daily tasks and guide efficient workflow.
- Work with the team to maintain high standards of safety & housekeeping.
- Train and motivate both new and current staff to meet and exceed pre-determined production results
- Overseeing quality checks and inspections
- Forklift and Gantry crane operations
- Conduct inventory audits, cycle counts.
- Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices.
- Coordinate all plant orders in a cost-efficient way to meet agreed delivery dates.
- Promoting and educating staff of company safety procedures to ensure legislative compliance with WHS regulations.
Key skills to be demonstrated:
- Knowledge of WHS legislation, and safe work practices in a production environment.
- Licensed and proficient forklift operator
- Experience training and supervising staff
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Positive can-do attitude with the ability to motivate staff.
- Ability to follow and implement company policies and procedures.
- Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Willing to be flexible and able to work under pressure.
- Willing to work overtime when required.
- Willing to undergo a pre-employment medical.
- Hold a valid drivers license.
