About Role
With ongoing innovation and growth within the industrial gases industry, we have a permanent full-time position available for an experienced Plant Technician to join our Kemerton Plant (near Bunbury) who will be responsible for execution of maintenance activities (preventative, correct and predictive) and operation of plant.
What you will enjoy doing
- You will lead and work safely in accordance with company policies and practices aiming at zero accidents
- Ensure the safe system of work is implemented and complied with during the day-to-day operations of the plant
- Maintaining safe optimum plant operation and reliability under various plant production modes including plant start up, shutdown and bulk gases container filling
- Communicate with the Steelworks regarding daily gas requirements
- Provide plant and process troubleshooting support which includes the use of Maintenance Systems including Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS - SAP/Maximo), plant spares and inventory management systems
- In addition, you will maintain a hand on approach and execute the corrective and preventative maintenance tasks
- Producing daily production reports, closing work jobs, assist with plant maintenance, and keeping records as required
What makes you great
- You have a relevant qualification or trade experience in Electrical and/or Instrumentation
- Proven experience in process plant operations and/or reliability activity
- In addition, you have overall knowledge of process, mechanical, electrical and control systems
- Excellent coordination and communication skills are required for this role
- Proven problem solving and analytical skills suit your profile
- Permit to Work (PTW) experience would be an advantage
- Experience with SAP would be an advantage
